Flights From Hell
Posted 4/10/2009 12:00:00 AM
This past week on the Informed Traveler I had the opportunity to chat with Gregg Rottler, creator of the website www.flightsfromhell.com.

I tried to think of a flight from hell that I might have experienced to share with him but I couldn’t really remember a flight that was that horrible. I guess I can consider myself lucky.

When it comes right down to it, a real flight from hell for me would be one that doesn’t land safely. But others have apparently experienced some pretty bad journeys. Thus the idea behind the website. It’s a place where people can share their horror stories and there is enough of them that there are now 14 different categories of such tales.

Come to think of I do remember a few flights that were delayed for various reasons. Like the flight my wife and I took from Cancun to Calgary that was delayed because the passenger count was out by about 30 people. That took about an hour to fix. Speaking of fixing there was another 3 hour delay we had at Dallas/Ft. Worth because of mechanical problems. But if that’s the only problems I can think of I still consider myself lucky.

How about you? Have you experienced a flight from hell? Let me know about it, or better yet post it on Gregg’s website www.flightsfromhell.com.
