ROUGHNECKS ROMP

The Flames are done and, shockingly, the Calgary Hitmen appear ready to follow.

That leaves the Calgary Roughnecks all to themselves at the Pengrowth Saddledome.  Sunday they responded with a big time playoff effort in dumping Colorado 15-8.

The difference in this game was goaltending.  Colorado had very little of it--especially early.  Andrew Leyshon gave way to Curtis Palidwor in the Colorado nets.  Neither of the former Roughnecks could slow Calgary down.  Frankly, I am surprised Leyshon lasted as long as he did.  He was struggling.  Matt King, in the Roughnecks net, was very strong.

The usual suspects showed up for Calgary on offense.  That meant guys like Tracy Kelusky and Dane Dobie showed the way.

Calgary is poised for a big run and, if they play like the did Sunday, they should win it all.
