Could the province introduce an election gag law? Premier Ed Stelmach has hinted at doing so. But writer and blogger Gerry Nicholls says the Alberta courts have ruled “that gag laws infringe on every Canadian’s Charter-guaranteed right to free expression.” Is Stelmach wanting a gag law after he was called out on a union-backed ad campaign in the last provincial election?
