A Central Alberta man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage girl he kidnapped while impersonating a police officer.
57-year-old Gerard Baumgarte pleaded to six charges, including assault with a weapon, in a Red Deer court.
The teen's uncle says the girl could not come to court knowing her attacker was going to be there.
The girl, from Penhold, Alberta, was forced into a car with flashing blue and red lights by a man dressed as a police officer.
She was repeatedly sexually assaulted over a 46 hour period and remains in counselling.
