Members of the Abbotsford Heat hockey team have received their H1N1 shots.
A team official confirms they were administered to players on Tuesday night when the team arrived back in Abbotsford from a road trip.
It now appears the shots were provided by a B.C. health authority or doctor.
The Fraser Health Authority in B.C.'s lower mainland says it did not authorize the vaccinations, nor was it aware of them.
In B.C., vaccines doses have been given to family doctors with strict instructions to give them to the most vulnurable patients.
There has not been an opportunity for the general public to be immunized.
A team official in Abbotsford adds the shots were given on recommendation from the team's doctor but where the doses came from is still a mystery.
The Calgary Flames are in hot water with many Albertans for getting H1N1 shots on Friday while thousands of people wait in long lines.
