It's a clear sign demand for the H1N1 flu shot has not eased.
Long line-ups, of roughly 500 people, formed outside Calgary clinics on Thursday morning where the vaccine is being offered to children under the age of five.
Many parents arrived with lawn chairs, toys, and food, prepared for a lengthy wait.
"It seems slightly more organized," said one woman who brought her 2-year-old daughter to the clinic in southwest Calgary.  "But it's too little too late for those with sick kids at home."
The woman says her 4-year-old child caught the flu last week.
Clinics will expand services on Friday to include pregnant women.
Nurses at the southwest clinic were handing out wrist bands to keep people more organized.
