Two suspects in custody after dangerously fleeing police
CHQR Newsroom
11/6/2009

What began as a police pursuit, and wove dangerously across the city for nearly an hour, came to a peaceful ending Thursday evening.
Police say two suspects were arrested after evading officers and driving dangerously through traffic.
Duty Inspector Rob Williams says it began in the parking lot of the Canyon Meadows theatres on Macleod Trail, where police were called to a car prowling.
He says the offender took off at a high rate of speed upon seeing the officers and went the wrong way on Macleod Trail for a short while.
The ordeal ended without incident near 43rd Street and 11th Ave southeast, and Williams says numerous charges are pending.
Police say it's lucky... but no one was injured.
The suspects are known to police but Williams says it's unknown if they were stealing vehicles or simply prowling.
