One person had to be rushed to hospital Friday night following a stabbing incident at a home in the Falconridge area in northeast Calgary.
Police were called in just before 9 p.m. to a small house party.
A 45-year-old man suffered serious stab wounds but is expected to survive.
Two women claimed the offender had fled out the back door.
But later, police determined the assaultant was actually one of the men inside the home at the time covered in blood.
A 27-year-old man faces a charge of agravated assault, which could be upgraded to attempted murder.
The two women could face charges of obstruction of justice.
