Calgary police are once again targeting those who drink and drive this holiday season and again they will be getting some help with enforcement.
Police will get help from provincial sheriffs in an enhanced checkstop program from noon to 8pm each day.
As well, there will be regular police check stops.
The number of people caught drinking and driving continues to go up.
Police say it may have to do with more enforcement and the fact that more drivers are on the streets, but they are not happy with the increase.
Last year, over 2800 people were charged.
This year's pace will likely surpass that number.
