Seven protesters have been charged with mischief after sitting in the Federal Environment Minister's Calgary office for eight hours.
The protesters walked into Jim Prentice's riding office about 10 a.m. Monday, saying they weren't leaving until he signed a promise about global warming in advance of climate talks in copenhagen next month.
They want him to commit Canada to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 255 below 1990 levels by 2020.
Eight hours later, police arrested and charged the protesters, who call themselves Citizens for Climate Justice.
