By a vote of 9-6, City council rejected cutting LRT Park n' Ride fees from $3 to $1.
Transportation General Manager John Hubbel says if the fee cut went ahead, it would mean another 40 000 hours of transit service cuts, less money spent on cleaning LRT stations and layoffs of protective staff.
Earlier, council voted to scrap the $3 parking fee at bus rapid transit parking lots.
The city had only been making $ 100 Thousand a year on the three BRT lots.
