Calgary fire investigators say the flame from a welding torch and gasoline fumes caused an explosion and fire in the city's northeast last Friday.
It killed two men working in the garage of a home in Marlborough.
Family members say one man was a refugee from Africa, while the other man was believed to be a mechanic from Sudan.
Damage to the garage and its contents was estimated at about $25,000.
