Around 200 Calgarians turned out for in an anti-racism protest at Stampede Park Thursday evening.
The rally, organized by the Jewish Community Council, was to stand against hate and intolerance after a number of recent hate crimes in the city.
"Calgary Says No To Hate" organizer, Adam Singer, told QR77 it came about after a lot of feedback and outcry from members of the Jewish community as well as other Calgarians saying that something had to be done.
Singer says the event was attended by representatives from the Muslim, Gay and Lesbian and Aboriginal communities, among others.
