After a year of controversy, the Second Chance Recovery Centre has cleared its final hurdle and will be allowed to operate in a strip mall at the Foothills Industrial Park.
Earlier this month, three nearby businesses filed complaints about the methadone clinic and appealed the city's decision to allow it to operate in the 3700 Block of 61st Avenue S.E.
But none of the complainants appaeared at Friday's hearing, prompting the city to dismiss their appeal.
The Second Chance Recovery Centre moved to its current location after it was kicked out of Highland Park and Braeside.
