Thousands of people braved chilly temperatures Saturday morning to take in the Grey Cup parade in downtown Calgary.
Marching bands, mascots and even a fly-by by the Snowbirds to kick things off warmed the crowd up.
There was a 15-minute delay in the start of the parade because emergency crews had to clear hanging ice from a building along the route.
But it didn't dampen people's spirits.
Hollywood actress Elisha Cuthbert rode in a black convertible sports car and waved at the crowd as parade marshall.
