Backlash and support for new Wildrose MLA's

At least one political scientist in Alberta thinks we haven't seen the last of defections from the Progressive Conservative party into the new upstart Wildrose Alliance.
MLA's Heather Forsyth and Rob Anderson have jumped ship expressing dissatisfaction with Premier Ed Stelmach's leadership.
"We voted for Heather, not the Stelmach government," said Brent Ronald who lives in the riding of Calgary-Fish Creek.
Ronald says he was a long time Conservative member who recently switched to the Wildrose Alliance.
But the PC riding association in Airdrie-Chestermere is livid with Anderson, suggesting he should be forced to call a byelection and run head to head as a Wildrose member against a Conservative candidate.
"Airdrie-Chestermere has a very long history of supporting Conservative members," said spokesperson Janice Harrington. "He was elected as the Conservative member."
She adds Anderson told her months ago he had no plans to defect.
University of Lethbridge political scientist Peter McCormick suggests the Stelmach government is clearly in trouble.
