The city of Calgary is celebrating the final stage of the 7th Avenue refurbishment. The project, which cost $270,000,000 entered it's final stage today. All platforms along the corridor are being redone, to accomodate 4 car trains, by the end of 2011.All three levels of government have contributed $90,000,000 each to the project.The cash will also help to increase security on the LRT.
